I can't flap my arms like a spaz no more!

First off, a story of pain and bloodshed. Here goes: Stitch is fine and well. I've spent quite a bit of time watching her and Odie sleep for the past few days, while still recovering from their vaccinations and her ordeal. The ferret room is blocked off from the house by a piece of plexiglas. However, the sheet is too tall to step over, so we have a cinder block inside the room and a small stepladder outside to enter and exit with. While climbing out yesterday, the stepladder folded. Mom said it looked like somehow (I blame wear and tear. That thing's old.) the folding mechanism had slipped out of its track, so when I touched it even slightly, it folded immediately. I was hanging in the air for the briefest moment, aware that I was going to fall, and then gravity kicked in. I hit my right arm on a chair nearby, slammed my left hand and chest into the ground, and scissored the plexiglas between my legs, snapping it diagonally as I fell. Thankfully, the ferrets were in their cage and ran up into the tubing when it happened, so they were unharmed, but I cut up my right foot and have more bruises than I can count. Noticeably, since my chest took the brunt of the fall, my left breast is slightly darkened and all of the pores are purple-black, and my right has two long triangles of deep purple. I have numerous other bruises along my arms and legs - I keep finding more every time I move. It really really sucks, and I just can't wait until I can flip around like a crazy girl as I typically do again.
