To be loved
I was feeling a bit bored, and kind of out-going, so I figured I'd do some little surveys and such for fun. I found these while randomly surfing through livejournals, or they're adaptations to ones I remember doing before. Here goes:
Take iTunes. Set to shuffle. Select favorite lyric from song that plays, skipping any that you're not sure how they got on your computer. No artist repeats, either. Lather, rinse, repeat 24 times. Now, guess what songs they're from:

21. Love was never meant to be such a crazy affair, no, and who has time for tears?
22. Knowing nothing is better than knowing it all.
23. I'll sacrifice forever, please, just for tonight.
24. Live right now. Just be yourself. It doesn't matter if that's good enough for someone else.

Moving on, alright. Fullmetal Alchemist.
1. The first character I fell in love with: Al. Oh gosh, did I fall in love with Al. I got a chibi plushie of him before I'd seen three episodes. The contrast between his personality and his appearance just appealed to me, and he's actually the reason I started really watching the show.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Ed. Seriously. I didn't like him when I glimpsed FMA on Adult Swim. Too loud, and so short-tempered. But he grows on you, like a fungus, and now I think he's just adorable. *coughandkindahotcough*
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Envy. I don't get that one. It seems like everyone and his sister loves Envy, and I just wanted him to die. I mean, keeping this fairly spoiler-free - he kills two of my favorite characters! That bitch! I never saw any redeeming qualities in Envy. Ever.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Are there any? It seems like most of the characters are beloved. Hmmm... Maybe Izumi. I don't think she has a ton of fans, but I just adore her. She's so rough with the boys, but she loves them so much, and her past... I couldn't help but be fascinated with her. Plus, we all know that beating up boys is a great sign of your love for them, right? *grins*
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Mmm, Mustang. Not that I don't like him, but eh. He's very eh, except in episode 37, which is just hilarious. And whenever he's with Riza, but that's more ohmygoshtwuwuv! than it is ohmygoshroy! I'm with Ed on that one. Unless you're a Roy/Ed shipper, in which case, I just plain am not that thrilled with Mustang.
6. The character I would shag anytime: Ed! So not a shrimp, am I right? Yeah, I have a weakness for those braided boys. I even drew half-naked Ed the other day. *coughs* He's quite good-looking in the movie, I must say. Yow.
7. The character I'd want to be like: Mmm, Ed? Or Al. Either snitching the alchemy abilities from Ed, or being more kind and compassionate like Al.
8. The character I'd slap: Winry. The only reason I didn't put her for 3 is because I don't think everyone else loves her. She's far too flippant about Ed's watch, and freaks out over things she can't control. Hey sweetie, instead of yelling at him for breaking the automail, why not make it heavier and stronger again? Or instead of telling them that they shouldn't be putting themselves in danger, tell them to be as careful as possible and wish them good luck. Supportive, not smothering. Learn it.
9. A pairing that I love: Eh heh... Elricest. I know, I know, I'm such a perv. I really like Ed and Al together, whether it be platonic brotherly love, or a romantic thing. I also enjoy Roy/Riza quite a bit. With Black Hayate, they're the perfect little family! *wibbles* Pre-Riza&Gracia Roy/Hughes is fairly nice as well. It all boils down to those Elric boys, those. Gotta love 'em.
10. A pairing that I despise: Ed/Winry. This isn't just because I hate Winry and enjoy Elricest either - in fact, Al/Winry doesn't seem half-bad to me. I just don't see Ed and Winry working well together, and the two of them pairing off would really hurt Al. He'd lose his childhood crush and his Niisan in one fell swoop. I don't want anything like that to happen to Al. Oh, and I really don't like Ed/Roy either. Again, it just doesn't make sense to me. Plus, and I will admit it for this one, it destroys both of my OTPs for this fandom, and that irks me.

Okay, Gundam Wing. My very first anime fandom. <3
1. The first character I fell in love with: Heero. Sad to say, I started watching the show just because of Heero's looks. I quickly became fascinated with him and his past, though, and then I fell in love with the rest of the pilots as well.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Duo or Quatre. I kind of expected to like Duo, but I never imagined he'd become my favorite. As it stands, he's in my top five favorite characters ever! On the other hand, I didn't think much of Quatre at all, but he rapidly became one of my favorite characters on the show. Sure, I don't adore him like I do Duo, but I do like him an awful lot, and that's pretty significant when I didn't take note of him at all in the beginning.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Does everyone else love Relena? I really really hate Relena. She started her involvement in everything due to Heero's pretty face, which I can relate with, but then she stayed involved and didn't do the right things. She goes about pacifism all wrong, if you ask me. I really had troubles liking her.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Dorothy, actually. I know, I know, she's bloodthirsty and cruel, but at the same time, she was just such a difference from everyone else! Plus, having her so deluded meant she'd get a wake-up call at some point, and those moments are priceless. Ooo, and the eyebrows. *grins* Gotta love the eyebrows.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Maybe Relena? I might've liked her at the beginning of the series, but as the situations escalated and she began to take a much more major role in everything, I started to dislike what she was doing and just wish that she'd step away.
6. The character I would shag anytime: Duo! As mentioned in the FMA questions, I have a weakness for braided boys. Duo's just so vibrant and alive, despite everything he's been through. It's very attractive. And anyway, who doesn't want to play with that amazing hair?
7. The character I'd want to be like: Hmmm... Quatre. He has a good grasp of morals and what he has to do to achieve those ideals. Underneath the goggles, he has a very determined and focused mind, and I think everyone could benefit from being a little more aware of where our actions will lead.
8. The character I'd slap: Ahahaha, do I even have to answer this one? Relena, Relena, Relena. Oh, and Wufei during the movie.
9. A pairing that I love: Heero/Duo. Every argument people can make for Relena's personality complementing Heero's I think works better sevenfold for Heero and Duo. In addition, they both have the minds of soldiers, and understand what the other is going through. Heero needs someone to make him feel human again, and Duo needs someone to ground him to the world. They would complete each other perfectly. I get wibbly just thinking about them. Also, I do enjoy some Trowa/Quatre, for reasons presented in the series. I mean, they're practically canon.
10. A pairing that I despise: Heero/Relena. I just don't like her, and I don't want her anywhere near Heero. He protected her because she was necessary for the war's cessation and because she reminded him of the little girl with the puppy. That's it. Also, I can't stand Duo/Wufei. It's funny, Duo/Hilde doesn't faze me, so it's not the thought of Duo in alternate relationships that bugs me, it's just 2x5x2. Wufei doesn't seem the type to fall for a man, especially not one as radical and offensive as Duo. It just doesn't click for me.
