Snowbunny ferrets!
It just figures. Day before I have to fly back to school, and the snow starts soaring. I lamented my misfortune earlier, including howling at Jaime and blaming Mom, until I felt like a cretin. So, I decided to make the best of the situation.
Armed with my pajamas, some flip-flops, and a fluffy towel, I made a snowball bigger than my head and carted it into the ferret room. Odie and Stitch had a field day with it. At first, Stitch was afraid of it and avoided it at all costs, but after I plopped her favorite bunny doll into it, she started to experiment. Odie burrowed underneath the towel and flung snow every which way, while Stitch started digging and biting at it. I recorded a lot of it on my digital camera, and I'm so very glad I did. Absolutely adorable.
The ferrets are worn out and napping now, and my hands are still slightly numb from the cold, but the happy warmth in my belly was worth it. I do love those furry little babies.
