Even in the darkest hour, there's hope...
Oh. My. GOD.
We just took Odie to his regular vet for ultrasounds to confirm the diagnosis, and he doesn't have cancer!!! His regular vet was extremely pissed that they scared us for nothing - she couldn't find any masses or anything really unusual. He's not totally out of the woods yet, as there's a strange pattern on his lungs which may just be his pattern or may be an infection, and his heart is slightly elevated from regular, which could be heart disease, an abnormality, or just from his fat. He's a very big boy, after all. They're going to do another set of radiographs on him in a month just to make sure nothing's changing, and if he pukes again we have to take him in to check for heart disease. Either way, though, she said he's in no immediate danger!
So now, please keep your fingers crossed for him that it just turns out he inhaled some food, which is a likely possibility. There's hooooope!
