i felt the need to explain my 1x2 love so that people wouldn't take me as just a screaming canon pairing fan.
i love that anime. i truly do - it's my all-time favorite. I loved it before i had ever heard of fanfiction or anything of that sort. hell, i had no clue what lemon or even yaoi meant at that time.
i just thought that heero and duo seemed a bit close in the actual show. they really do. there's more than enough there to deduce that something may have been going on between those two besides "the mission." plus, i just thought heero yuy (or hiiro yui) was the hottest anime guy ever.
it's the blue eyes. really. i'm a sucker for them. just ask lop.
but i digress. gomen.
i set out on the internet to find pictures of the japanese boy and ended up with my first taste of both yaoi and doujinshi. hard stuff, at that, featuring (you guessed it) 1x2.
i wasn't alone! my gods, what a revelation! there were others out there who also thought that heero and duo were soulmates, or at the very least, making sweet anime lurv behind the scenes.
then i found fanfiction.
in short, while i do love a lot of pairings, my overall opinions boil down to this:
5x2x5, 5x4x5: ultimate squick! not sure why, but those pairings kill me. x.x
1x3x1, 2x3x2, 3x5x3, 1x4x1: nice, but not my favs. definitely worth a look, but i don't guarantee anything more.
1x5x1, 2x4x2: oh yes. definitely yummilicious. heero and wufei would be aggressive and scrumptious, while duo and quatre could get oooooh so playful. mmm.
3x4x3: certainly supported by the series. who doesn't melt at the thought of those two in love?
1x2x1: they complete each other. one of my absolute favorite pairings, right behind squall and rinoa, which is also very canon and seems to have a lot of opponents... but that's a story for another post. yus. anyway, if written well, or just if watched for during the series, heero and duo seem so... perfect for each other. *warm shnuggles* i lovie them.
so, that's about it for today. gonna go read fanficcies, then work on my research paper.
