Live from Moffitt!
Apparently, I can't use instant messengers with this connection. Weird. And lame. Ah well.
Alright everyone, give me advice - where do I write to? Should I try the contact link on the documentary's site, or just wait to see if I get e-mailed? Opinions?
One of these days, I'm going to put together an Odie memorial post. I tried looking at photos of him the other day and ended up sobbing, so I think I'll wait a bit before I try that again. With regards to Odie, I did have kind of a crazy little thing happen the other day. This hair kept falling loose from my ponytail and sticking to the side of my mouth. Jaime pointed out that it was white, but when I pulled it forward to inspect it, it was only white at the tip. It changed to my usual dark brown abruptly at one point - like a ferret hair. All through the day, that same hair kept falling in my face. Mom says it was Odie letting me know he's okay. I like that idea. A lot.
I can't make a post from Moffitt without photos of Jaime, can I? Here goes:

Jaime chilling on the couch. This was the day after he got his port put in, I think. Like his short hair?

His PICC line wound. It looks teeny, but that's just because he's got big arms. Check out the fingertip for scale. Took a while to heal up, too.

His port incision. If you look close, you can see a bump to the right (his left) of the incision - that's the port.

Just Jaime smiling. Cute, ain't he?

A day later than the previous photos. He has perma-stubble, as he's not allowed to use his regular razor for fear of infection in any nicks, and the electric really doesn't get close enough. Check out his hat on the lampshade.

This is my favorite photo of us at the moment. That was a very relaxing day.

I think this was the night before we headed up to Moffitt, so... Tuesday? You can see that his hair's gotten thinner, but there's still a little clinging on there. Plus, he's in good spirits, and that's always nice to see.

I love this picture. So much.

*hughughug* I'm getting there. I've gotten to the point where I can ramble about all the awesome memories I have and not cry. I still get a knot in my throat, but I can talk through it. I'm planning on including a couple of my favorite stories about him when I make the post, so it might take me a bit still to handle all of that at once, but I know I will get there. :)
