over-worked-ness

i've been neglecting lj again for schoolwork. this post itself is only a break in my work.

weekend? did i get a weekend? oh right, when i went to see chicago and daredevil... that was two whole days?[/sarcasm]

ah, but i do have a purpose in this post. i'm sick of current website layout trends.

people keep making sites that look very pretty, yes, but there is no easy way to navigate them! menus consist of random blocks and stripes, and the graphics are so intense and numerous that even my dsl has a bit of lag in loading them. the purpose of a website is to deliver some sort of information, correct? so why the preoccupation with beautiful layouts that don't function easily?

and with the wonderful coding (but awful navigation, or lack thereof) often comes a lack of content, or a poor quality of such. hell, i just read on a rinoa shrine that adel possessed rinoa and edea, edea was evil because she didn't have a knight, and that the strange markings on sorceresses come from their veins popping out due to stress at not having a knight to help them control their power. i mean, all of those i argue, not based on opinion, but based on the *actual game*. this site also had blue blocks with no distinguishing markings for a menu as well. one more strike and you're out, kid.

but i'm done acting superior. i just wanted to get that out of my system. a website is no good unless its content is good and people can actually *use* it.

and that's all for the moment. *wanders back to her bio books*
