*ferret-ish dance of joy*
had a half-day today for standardized testing! yaya!
i've already cleaned the ferrets' cage, read a story for english, and memorized
shall i compare thee to a summer's day?
thou art more lovely and more temperate;
rough winds do shake the darling buds of may,
and summer's lease hath all too short a date:
sometimes times too hot the eye of heaven shines,
and often is his gold complexion dimmed;
and every fair from fair sometimes declines,
by chance or nature's changing course untrimmed:
but thy eternal summer shall not fade
nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st,
nor shall death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
when is eternal lines to time thou grow'st.
so long as men can breath or eyes can see,
so long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
not marble, nor the gilded monument,
of princes shall out-live this powrefull rime,
but you shall shine more bright in these contents
then unswept stone, besmeer'd with sluttish time.
when wastefull warre shall statues over-turne,
and broiles roote out the worke of masonry,
nor mars his sword, nor warres quick fire shall burne:
the living record of your memory.
gainst death, and all oblivious enmity
shall you pace forth, your praise shall still find roome,
even in the eyes of all posterity
that weare this world out to the ending doom.
so til the judgment that your selfe arise,
you live in this, and dwell in lover's eyes.
