what we have

the ferrets have a large box full of bedding tipped onto its side with the lid by it to catch all the spills. they dig and burrow and ferret!fight in it. heck, odie even falls asleep in it sometimes. 'tis very cute and they are very happy, thus i am happy. *love*

i have tazo chai to make frappuccinos using some milk, ice, and our home blender. for some reason, though she's afraid of everything else, stitch is not bothered by the noise of the blender. go fig.

the members of the tech posse have aim, as do i. this results in some strange conversations both late at night, when we have the "it's late" excuse, and during the day when the only explanation is our own weirdness. i tend to think the latter contributes the most at any given time. ;p

he has a plane ticket to reno for 12/26. *tries to contain her bouncing* it's been since august, and i can't wait to see him again. love him muchly.

mom has ingredients to make cookies. when she's not at work, shopping, or sleeping, she's enthralled in the wonderful world of getting that fudge to soft ball state, forming those candy wreaths before the marshmallow hardens, and getting the perfect balance between dark chocolate and white chocolate-dipped macaroons. it's so very domestic and adorable for such a strong woman. *hugs*

joe has much time off, which makes for more "ching"s and one-of-a-kind dances down the stairs. he also has football, which causes random screams of "yes!" and "fuuuuuck!" from his room. mom and i giggle from downstairs.

erik has a framed, signed picture of ichiro. *is jealous* but it's okay. 'tis the holidays, i can forgive him. *shnug*

those two have each other and time off to just chill. what more could you ask for?

and finally, everyone has the undefinable little spark that permeates the holiday season, that infectious electric pulse that surges through the air and invigorates all the people. love, generousity, and simple holiday spirit, regardless of religious affiliation or the lack thereof, is what i offer you all. corny as it sounds, happy holidays, and best wishes for the future.
