Amazing still it seems.
Today has been fucking beautiful. I'm not even sure why exactly, but everything's just felt so right, so invigorating.
My Hot Topic stuff got here, and while Facebones was missing (which I've already e-mailed them about), the tanktops fit great and the chainsaw earrings make me feel like a total badass. After that, Jaime and I went to Target to look for the Metalocalypse Season One DVD set. It was sold out, but we browsed the rest of the section just in case and instead stumbled across the Red Curtain Trilogy - for $15. Seriously. I couldn't believe my eyes. Jaime got it for me as a birthday present and insists I can't open it until tomorrow. Hee.
We also swung by Walmart, to pick up some groceries. Lo and behold, in the midst of the movie DVDs was Metalocalypse. So, of course, we snapped it up. It made for good dinner viewing. Oh hey, and if you press up on the main menu, there's a whole bunch of easter eggs in the picture of Dethklok. We haven't watched all of them yet, but I'm not sure if anything can top the duet with Murderface's wang on bass and Toki on keyboards. That was classic.
With everything winding down and me feeling exhausted (not going to bed until 7am will do that to you), we settled into the bedroom to watch Olbermann and then Metalocalypse some more, and I checked my e-mails. The September newsletter from Dreamhost was waiting for me. In celebration of their tenth birthday, they did some crazy stuff to their hosting plans, and also doubled the bandwidth (and will eventually double the disc space) of all current customers. This means I now have over 5TB of bandwidth a month at my disposal. I love my host.
I love my Jaime too. And my family. Criminey, I love just about everything right now. It's been one of those days where just watching the sunlight slant through the pool cage and spill in neat rectangles on the river rock makes me want to scream out loud from the sheer joy of it all. Over the top? Certainly. But it's how I've felt.
