State of the Union
Real life has been oh-so-much fun for me lately, but I don't feel like going into too much, lest I depress myself. No, instead I shall focus on my many projects at the moment and what I have left to do.
Ship Manifesto - About 50% done. I'm two weeks overdue with it at this point. Eh heh. Maybe I'll play a couple hours of FFVIII to get reinspired. I'll likely finish it sometime this week.
Fanlistings - None on upcoming, but I do need to move Toki before his domain expires. That gives me about a week. I already have a layout almost entirely finished, so this shouldn't be too difficult.
Untitled Comic - 23 strips in and no sign of the main plot yet. This could get lengthy, but I love it so far. Cathy's art is amazing. I wish I could show it off to everyone now, but I'll hold back until we're deeper into this. I'm considering switching my plans with it from webcomic to published comic; what's your opinion on this, Cathy? Through research I've found at least one publisher that allows creators to maintain all ownership of the work and pays them based on how many comics are sold. I think it could turn out well for us. This would be far in the future, of course.
The Anglerfish - Almost fully realized in my head, but not put down on paper. I'm actually still unsure as to whether it'll be a novel or the title story in a short story collection. I guess I'll just have to see how it flows when I write it. Damn I wish I had a formal desk with an ergonomic keyboard/typewriter right about now.
Mello/Near Fic - Scrapped, but not abandoned. It was third person limited on Near before, but I think it'll work better if it follows Mello. This means a complete rewrite, which I'm looking forward to, as I'm completely enamored with this idea and don't want to be done writing it just yet. I just need to reread some DN first to make sure my characterizations aren't fandom-influenced.
Untitled Comic 2 - First mention! I have ideas, completely surreal ideas that I can't possibly describe without giving it all away or making it seem more boring than I think it will be. I want to write and draw this one myself, though, which means I need to sharpen up my drawing skills. This one's forever and a day away at this point.
Untitled Novel/Novel Series - First mention of this as well! Less formed than The Anglerfish at the moment, but well on its way to being written. Really ambitious, too. I hope I can pull it off.
Destined - I'll be adding the Ship Manifesto to it when that's finished, and possibly writing some other parts. Right now, I have no idea when or if it'll really be completed. I'm attempting to move the Q&A to a Wordpress blog for better archiving, but it's going reeeeeeeeeally slooooooooooooooow. It'll happen. Eventually.
Plushies/Jewelry - I just keep picking up new projects. I bought some stuff to make this happen, but I'm not sure yet what I'm going to make. If anything turns out to be notable, I'll post it.
Fanlisting Script - Still haven't learned PHP enough to start writing it, but I've plotted out some ideas on paper. I might truly make it... IN THE YEAR 2525.
On top of everything, I'm pretty sure I'm getting sick. Ugh. I've only been awake for twelve hours or so, but I'm ready to sleep. A cookie to you if you read this far. Ooo, hey, or a slice of banana cream pie. I'ma go get some for myself.
