a different type of finals review

Let's take a look at how my week has been, shall we?

Math Final: 4 hours. 4 problems, 2 of which I blasted through with ease, and the other two of which I choked on. 2 and 4 seemed to be fairly disconnected from what we'd been learning in class, and so I floundered through some bs answers and prayed I'd get partial credit. I'm still praying.

Physics Final: 4 hours, and 7 goddamn problems. 7!!! I didn't even get to write anything on the last one, due to lack of time. Well, not that a lot of time would've helped anyway. This puppy sucked even harder than math, which I initially had thought was impossible. I felt I had a good grasp on physics, and on two of the problems, this shined through. Normal modes? No problem. Heat engines? Hells yeah. Vibrating acousto-modifyer crystal with new theorems to apply, the like of which we'd never seen before? Neh-wha? Very very not cool. The other problems managed to take familiar concepts and bastardize them to the point where physical pain was inflicted on me just by looking at them. But at least it's over.

... Unlike my Statics Final! Open time limit. I'd estimate, no joking, that I've spent 10 hours on it. Fortunately, I've been able to come up with answers for all five problems, though I'm not sure on one of them, and three of the five bonus problems. I can live with this one. The time factor is annoying, and I feel like if I see a load-bearing cable diagram again any time soon it'll be my mind snapping, not any of the structure's components, but at least it's doable. Here's hoping the scoring reflects my sunny disposition on this one. *beams*

I still has Thermo and APh9 to do. Thermo has a time limit of 3 hours, so at least the pain won't last as long as any of the prior three, and APh9 is a multiple-choice open-book joke of an exam. God, I love Axel. Best prof ever. Well, besides Politzer. Polizzie in the mother-fucking Nobel-hizzie, yo!

... And I need more sleep. Fucking finals week. Remind me to never do this again... wait, I have to do it again in 13 weeks? Awwwwwwwww. *head hits desk*
