First off, Happy Easter one and all! Note that I am not Christian, so I don't care about what Easter really means. If you are, enjoy it for that; if you're not, enjoy for other reasons. Me? I like the bunny plushes and little blue Peeps. Yummers.
Next, if you haven't heard it yet from South Park, check out the music of Wing. I particularly recommend "Dancing Queen", "Phantom of the Opera", and "I Want to Hold Your Hand". I haven't stopped laughing yet.
And finally, I got my report card. Decent. Lowest grade yet, but high other grades, leading to the same GPA as last term. Here we go:
Quantum Mechanics: C+
Differential Equations: A
Thermodynamics: A-
Statics and Dynamics: A
American Authors: Pass (trying to get this listed as the A I got. I wanted Letters, not Pass/Fail, damnit!)
GPA this term (without the A in A.A.): 3.5
GPA this year to date: 3.5
Cumulative GPA: 3.6
Could've been worse. Not in Physics, I mean. That sucked hard. But hey - done with core! w00t! This term should be far more pleasant. I'm gunning for straight A's this time, and I actually think it's doable. Go me.
Edit (4:53 PM): Edited to add a survey. Thanks, Brandon.

Congratulations on the grades! (hereabout it's virtually impossible to get an A so I guess it's pretty all right over there too :), but what on earth is an GPA? And how can you make numbers out of letters?

Thank you! Ah, so in the good old US of A, letters are assigned numerical values. They go as follows:
A = 4
B = 3
C = 2
D = 1
F = 0
My school also assigns values to pluses and minuses, so that a plus adds 0.3 to a letter's value, and a minus subtracts 0.3. When all of your grades are in, the school averages your numbers, and the result is your Grade Point Average, or GPA. The Pass I got wasn't taken into account in determining the GPA, and since I know I got an A, I really want it considered, as it will pull up my GPA, and lots of things (like one of my scholarships) have GPA requirements.
Phew. That took longer to type out than I thought it would! ^^
Oh yeah, and over here? It's not too difficult to get A's in high school, but it varies from college to college. At mine, it's not impossible, but it is awfully challenging, and in some courses it's near impossible, so I'm pretty proud of myself. *triumphant pose* Again, thanks!

So that's what a GPA is! You make letters into numbers to make it all generally confusing to foreigners. I'm used to the notion that a good degree is as low as possible (I have a 2.1 average, and that's in the top 5% in my faculty, 1.5 is the best ever given there), but now we have started having letters instead and nobody understands how they works. Generally it's impossible to get a top grade in a humanities subject, and merely difficult in sciences, so I'm impressed! Not to mention the fact that I don't know anything anbout the subjects!
Go buy sweets on the after Easter sale to congratulate yourself from me!
