oh the weather outside is frightful

i woke up at 5:30 as usual this morning, especially exhausted because i was up *really* late last night doing homework. got up, turned on the radio, picked my clothes, showered - the typical routine. as i was toweling my hair, mom peeked in and told me not to bother.

*takes a deep breath* ... snow day!!!

i got the homework due for tomorrow done early, then played wwe: shut your mouth (shut up, the game is kinda fun) with erik and ate some of his leftover birthday cake and chicken wings.

the down side? cable's still down and buffy comes on in half an hour. *chibi quiver eyes*

but the best parts? i have glitter and neon putty with googly eyes from the party favors, and can program the created "rinoa" and "lop" wrestlers to kick ass, especially blonde ones clad in pink spandex. *grins* payback, whether digital or not, is delicious.

Snow Day! Congrats, hon! Consider yourself blessed. The closest things here we have to snow days are rather heavy rain days.

(P.S. Have you heard about Yuna's new look? It looks like she belongs on Maxim. Well, it's not that bad but it sure ain't the shy stuttering priestess I know and... like, sorta.)

while i much preferred lulu in x, yuna was appealing in a humble, pretty pretty princess sort of way.

but now... meet lara "yuna" croft, ladies and gentlemen!

i don't like it. beyond the outfit and persona, i find it atrocious that square made a sequel to a final fantasy. it didn't need it, damnit! and they're supposed to stand alone! *growls and protects her viii from such capitalist tactics*

It just doesn't seem like Yuna, does it? I mean, I can understand that her character evolves... but isn't she going to get cold? And my favorites were Lulu and Rikku, definetly. What bothered me about FFX is that they had such fantastic characters (mostly the girls) that were interestng, and they focused the entire thing on Lady Yuna. OK, I get it, she's important. Now can I see a little bit more about Lulu's past?

And the idea of a sequel doesn't bother me, so much as it seems like a cheap marketing ploy so Square can stock up its money in case Internet gaming goes bust. Plus I really don't get why her short shorts have to be purple. Skirts can be deep purple, but short shorts? No.

i hope internet gaming goes bust. *crosses her arms* ffxi is another thing i can rant on for quite some time.

and you nailed the main problem with the yuna makeover exactly - it doesn't seem like her.

*spoiler*:
so the love of her life turns out to be dead; that doesn't mean she turns into a femme fatale packing some serious heat! she was a summoner/priestess for god's sake - give her a better redo than that.

and that's my $0.02 on that. *nods*
