Fuck NINAGARCIA and her irrational fixations.
I've done pretty good with not blabbing about Project Runway on here, despite my obsession with it (I want to hang out at the mall with Jaaaaaay), but I'm so pissed about the twist tonight that I just... ugh!
Rami's in? Really?! After he made the most boring, most obvious, most unimaginative dress he's put forth so far?! I'm also perplexed by their criticism of Chris's outfit - just because it has a puff over one sleeve doesn't mean it's the same trick. The avant garde one was very structured, layered, and based on the shoulder itself. This one was gathered, bunched, and sashed across the front and back of the dress, laying over one shoulder. They evoked different moods, had different silhouettes, and certainly were constructed in very different ways. And let's not forget what Cavalli saw in it: art. Vision. Chris had a real spark in him for this one. Yet Mr. Drapey-Uneven-Boobs-And-Nothing-Else puts out the same boring flump he throws out every week, and somehow he and Chris are running even. W. T. F.
I think this show needs a good purging of the judges. Nina and Kors are too fucking biased to judge fairly. They label people almost immediately and give passes to their favorites, while hammering on others who slip up even a millimeter. I'm not a huge fan of Heidi's perspective either (give me Iman any day - she even wins when it comes to awesome musician hubbies), but I understand how important she is for marketing, so she can stay. Screw Elle. Bravo can find another sponsor. I'm sure many would jump at the chance. Just do away with the orange-faced bitches and give us some fresh meat.
Oh, and get REAL guest judges. Heatherette? Yes. Cavalli? OH MY GOD YES. Posh Spice? No. Just... just no. Whoever green-lit that one needs to be fired.
Wait... that was Heidi, wasn't it? Maybe she needs to be booted too after all.

i agree with you about the judges - they are getting stale - they say they want innovative designers - then when they get someone who is different and goes to their own beat - they get lambasted!
we can only hope that Chris makes the cut!
love ya!

Hey, you're a seamstress. Is it just me, or was Chris's dress not at all similar to the avant garde one? I mean, poof over one shoulder, yes, but the techniques and styles used were vastly different, weren't they?
P.S. Tell me my ferrets are good. I had nothing but nightmares last night. :(

chris - the dress was completely different. it had a crazy collar - but the structure and the symetry of the dress were not similar at all. geesh - those judges!
