And we're back! Just got back from Moffitt. I'll likely write a big big post about this later, but at the moment, I'm a bit too scatterbrained and psyched to be back home with my Jaime to really sort out my thoughts. Here's the vital information: the trip started out kinda sucky, but got a lot better. The lymphoma's either Burkitt's or Burkitt's-like and rather aggressive. He's got nodes all over his body that are affected, some stuff in his stomach, and it's in his adrenal gland, his spleen, and his bone marrow. Fortunately, his spinal fluid came back clean again, so his brain's all good. They wanted to get him on chemo as quickly as possible, so he was admitted the same day as the consultation, and got his first dose that night. Now, the good stuff - he's had practically no side effects. Got a little nauseous, but nothing that wasn't controlled by a dose of meds. Other than that, he handled all the chemo they threw at him with style and panache. People kept telling us that this is a real aggressive chemo regimen, and if it works, it works very well. The big ole node under his arm has actually gone down noticeably - the nurse that saw him the first day confirmed that - so (fingerscrossedknockonwoodallthatshit) it seems like this treatment is knocking out the cancer pretty handily. As far as the hospital stay itself goes... well, I'll write that up later. It was very very nice. We met some great people and actually had a few fun times. Going back for the next arm (different drugs, same sort of routine) will be a lot easier than this was.

Oh, and also! I beat Panthera Cantus on Ultimate. Totally going to write up that strategy at some point. Good stuff.

...on the other hand, I'm not sure I even want to know how you managed Panthera Cantus on Ultimate. The idea of attempting it strikes the fear of God into me.

Thank you! Over the past two days or so, the node's gone down so much you can barely feel it. It's absolutely amazing. I'm really hoping everything keeps going like this.

Oh, it was tricky. I spent the last playthrough I did maxing out Neku and Joshua, so that helped quite a bit, but it was still pretty chaotic. My whole strategy relies on using Joshua - I don't know if I could do it with anyone else. The hovering is keeeey~.
