Your scent is not as dark and foul as his.
Well, I finished Riku's story on Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories today, and so now I've seen both Sora and Riku's storylines. I have thoughts (spoilery for CoM) on Kingdom Hearts 2:
Even before finishing the game and seeing the blonde-haired kid after the credits, I thought to myself, "I bet that blonde kid is Sora's shadow." Since Namine is Kairi's shadow, it would make sense that a blonde boy seen in screenshots from KH2 talking to her would be Sora's shadow. This also answers a bit of the mystery surrounding Deep Dive. The "He looks just like you." is probably directed to the blonde kid, in description of the keyblade master.
Also, I was surprised by the active role Riku has taken in the story. Initially, at the start of KH, I figured he would play a Seifer-ish role - fall in over his head due to petty rivalry with the hero, and learn his lesson in the end. The first part came to pass, but now Riku seems as special and powerful as Sora himself. He is the twilight warrior, walking the path to dawn. Pretty awesome, actually.
*And*, I felt sorry for the Riku replica. The end of Sora's game left me with such a nice feeling, but seeing him die at Riku's hands crushed that. Poor fake fella.
Finishing up, I heard that it has been confirmed that Seifer, Fujin, and Raijin will be in Kingdom Hearts 2. I can't help but wonder if they'll be badass allies, or if they'll descend back into villainy, perhaps even becoming Heartless. I also wonder if Rinoa will make a surprise appearance. I'd certainly love to fight a shadow of her - tiny blonde sorceress of immense power. That'd be tough and beautiful, and I'd get a kick out of it.
So read this, Square, and change the story to suit my imagination... now!
