Oh spoilers, how we loathe thee...
First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CARA!!! I lovelovelove you, sissy-chan! *mwah*
Now, on to the story. Jaime and I went to Target, as we are fond of doing, and I noticed a new edition of Fullmetal Alchemist cards. They're from a Magic the Gethering type game, but with FMA characters/locations/abilities, and I've been kind of collecting them, but the only edition I've ever seen was "Artificial Human", so all my cards are that type. The new package coloring caught my eye, and I of course rushed over to inspect them. Imagine my surprise at the edition name and art.
The freaking edition name is "A Hero's Passing", which may have been neat on its own if done correctly, but the goddamn packaging has a grave on the front, on which you can clearly read Hughes's name! Not small and in the corner, not behind additional packaging, but front and center, glaringly large, with big bold lines. For crying out loud, people, not everyone has seen that episode necessarily! I can understand wanting to have an edition based off of that, as it is a really important event in the story, but do you have to have such blatant and tasteless art to go with the name. Goodness.
So, yeah. Jaime lamented the total lack of artistic merit in the package's design, which was rather blunt and unappealling, but I just can't get over the spoilerful nature of it all. At least I got an Automail Warrior Ed in the pack - 4 strength, 4 wits, and 6 alchemy! Woohoo!
