I should be Pink, because Pink is love, and a humanitarian like me loves people.
I finished The World Ends With You, including the secret ending, and I just cannot recommend it enough. I'm not going to write out a full review, as there're tons out there and I honestly think this game is best approached with no knowledge about it whatsoever, but I will offer a few notes:
- I played on Hard as soon as it became available and kept my people at half of the max level or lower the whole time, and I only got two or three Game Overs throughout the entire game. So, if you're not normally an action fan, no worries. A playthrough on Normal should be breezy fun, and if not, there's always Easy.
- The bonus chapter you get after you defeat the game is hilarious and quite slashy. Great counterpart to the more serious main game. Loved it.
- Joshua is awesome. No, really, give him a chance. I hated him at first, absolutely despised him and yelled at the screen whenever he spoke up in that snotty little voice, but somewhere along the line I fell for him. I suddenly felt like I understood him, and then he became my favorite. Oh Joshua.
- Shiki's awesome too. Don't let her skimpy outfit repel you. I could definitely relate to her.
- Hanekoma's also awesome. And Neku, of course. And Beat and Rhyme. And Lollipop, and Uzuki, and Minamimoto, and... hell, everyone's awesome. Really really great cast, and the voices are nice too.
- DO NOT read the manual that comes with the game. It talks about features that are really better left to be discovered as the time comes. I promise, the game does a very good job of not piling too much on you at once. It's best to just jump in.
Speaking of the manual, there is one thing you should see from it. Let me show you. You see, this is from the page that talks about Mingle Mode, where you can meet people over DS wireless. Check out the friends our dear example has made:

Two things - the first friend is Quistie, which makes me squeal, since FFVIII is my true fandom love. Someone in the actual game says "Booyaka!" and I literally giggled with glee at that.
The second thing is the main reason I posted this picture. Check out the second friend. Meatspin. With a heart, no less. If you don't know what Meatspin is, you can find out at meatspin.com, but for the love of God, don't go there with anyone else around and be prepared for pr0ny sights. If you do know, well... then clearly you know why I couldn't believe my eyes when I spotted this. And check out the picture they selected for their icon - a Joshua sticker. You can pick any item in your inventory as your icon. Quistie has ramen, No Values has Kitaniji's phones, and Meatspin<3 picks out of all things a picture of Joshua, who, by the by, radiates gay at times. There are no words to properly convey how much this amuses me.
Hey, since we're hiding behind a cut anyway, I'll throw in another picture. I mentioned earlier that I hated Joshua at first. The reason I kept giving him second chances to win me over is because he reminded me of Kaworu, my favorite character from Evangelion. I told Jaime this a whole bunch, but when I finally jammed the DS up in his face to show him the glory of Joshua, his immediate reaction was, "Oh, that's why you like him. He's Near."

Kaworu, Joshua, Near. I may be sensing a trend here.
