rinnia: (blood)

I never even got nosebleeds when I was little!

My nose just spontaneously started dripping blood. The fuck.

At least I was done sewing already.

Has it gotten dry there? Dry air can really wreck your sinuses. (She says from experience.) It's also allergy season, which can cause nosebleeds even if you've never had them before. If it keeps happening, please see an Ear Nose Throat guy. But don't let them cauterize you, for the love of Mike.

It has gotten dry (by Florida standards, at least), and I've been having sinus headaches, so yeah, that's probably the cause. Overall, it wasn't that bad. I mean, I had to wash my shirt and wipe down the kitchen counter, but it ended pretty quick and hasn't come back. If it becomes a trend, I promise I'll go see someone. :)

How are you doing with that stuff, by the way?

Oh, you know, hanging in there. No blood recently, for the most part, so that's good. I'm just killing time until my surgery at the end of October, basically.

I buy sinus spray in bulk now; you might find that helps, actually. I get the saline gel spray at Walgreen's (Ayr makes some, but Walgreen's carries a different brand that works the same.) The gel just helps a little more with moisture than the regular sinus sprays, if you continue to have dryness problems.

Anyway, I'm glad it ended quickly. Usually nosebleeds are no big deal, so I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

Listen to Caroline. She is knowledgable in the ways of the bloody nose. (which totally suck!)

It's true, she deserves a medal or something. I'm definitely listening.
