Happy fourth, and happy port-th!
A few people have asked me how Jaime's surgery went, so I figured I'd put it up here in case anyone else was curious, but not enough to contact me - it went perfectly. :) He's doing really, really well. So well, in fact...
He's willing to pose for pictures with his portly friend. Yes, that is the actual port that was inside him for about a year. The nurses looked at him really weird when he asked if he could keep it, but they did let him, as evidenced by the photo. We're going to put it in a display case, we think. It's served us well; now it's time for us to give it some love and respect.
P.S. Happy birthday, America! We may have our spats now and again, but you know I do love you, baby. Party? Party.
