Even though I'm speaking with him in person as I type this, I'll say it here as well: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAIME! 25 years... Watch those creakin' bones, oldtimer.

Feeling better, but still pretty tired and a bit congested, so I'm giving it another day before I go back to campus. I'd hate to get the rest of my lab sick, y'know? Plus, if I'm not quite well and I put myself through a full day prematurely, who knows how sick I could end up after that? So, yeah. Really, I'm just trying to justify what I perceive as "slacking off" to myself so I don't feel bad about it. I hate not meeting expectations.

Payday tomorrow! My very first paycheck. :D Granted, most of it will go to rent, class fees, dental bills, and paying off Jaime's credit card, but... but... paycheck!

Missed Kyria online last night. D: Ever since I started playing Nocturne, I've been hoping to catch her on AIM and fangirl over it, and I missed her. Tarnation.

Hey, Nocturne... I could play today. Turn this into real slacking so my guilt can be somewhat justified. Even though I've already done all my homework and the research work I'm on right now is stuff I need to be in the lab for and I'm not up to visiting campus just yet. Yes. Slacking.

I need to tune down my conscience.

It has been done! :D He was a pretty happy camper yesterday, despite having a sick Alex to tend to. Low key to the extreme, but I think it was a good birthday, nonetheless.

Thank you! I'm not 100%, but I'm doing a lot better today. Seriously, freakin' schools. My friend Kiri was sick last Friday and borrowed my notes for then, then I missed Wednesday and Thursday and am borrowing his notes now. At least we're all getting well now, right?

On a couple weird notes, my cousin fared a lot worse with the whole illness thing - he was hospitalized with swine flu. He's out now, but he was in bad shape for a while. Crazy, no? Also, the person in my research group with the best English and who I've been talking to the most goes by her English name: Cathy. It's so confusing.

Luckily, you're the only Alex I'm in regular contact with, but I have similar situation with Jon. First, there's Jon the DJ Juan Pancho. Then, my brother Jonathan has decided to go by Jon. Then in my French class there's Jonathan C, who now goes by Jon. Then there's John G, my old carpool, who I run into often at school. Not to mention John L and John P, who I thankfully haven't seen around lately, but who were in my classes in high school. There are also a million other Jo(h)ns running around whose names don't come to mind at this instant, but who I know in some capacity or another.

Also, there are 2 (TWO!!) Cathys at my Mom's work, which makes things rather confusing when I accompany her.

And dang: swine flu? That sucks.
