No, wait, Ditch Day's tomorrow.

- GET UP, FROSH!
- This disaster advice is pretty sound, but how am I supposed to outrun the undead while carting gallons of drinking water? I've got to puzzle through that one for a while.
- Watched "Best Worst Movie". I am irrationally proud of myself for finding that movie and adoring it well before it became a cult thing. Seriously, the neighbor girls and I rented it from the local video place, watched it once, mixed vanilla ice cream and green sugar sprinkles into a mush, and then watched it again. Want some, Joshua?
- What are you guys going to do when 3% of the world gets raptured at 6pm tomorrow? I'm thinking booze and looting. Gotta enjoy those heathen months before armageddon.
- Name a game. Seriously. In the comments, list some games. Video, card, party, whatever. Please?

My favourite classic video game is Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
My current favourite video game is Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey.
My favourite Facebook game is Farmville.
My favourite board game is Trivial Pursuit.
My favourite party game is a mix of spin the bottle and truth or dare.
I don't play card games because I can't learn the rules no matter how many times you tell me what they are. I do enjoy some basic solitaires, though.

Uhhh. Why am I naming games, again? :3

Ghost Trick and Odin Sphere are fantastic, and as for oldschool games, if you haven't played Earthbound, you're missing out. Oh, and if you've got a 360 and an interest in hilariously audacious action games, Bayonetta is probably for you. Other than that... well, I wish I could help you more, but ever since my mother and boyfriend installed World of Warcraft on my computer and bought me an account it's absorbed most of the interest that would normally be directed at new releases. Also, I'm raging against the dying of the PS2. :( Why, next gen, why?

Demon's Souls. For as much as everyone bitched about how hard it was, it's actually quite fair, and the first half isn't that hard (This from the guy who's not yet experienced Pure Black tendency). I think I messed up the build for my character, which is why I'm struggling a little more in the second half. Also, the fights and zones are getting trickier. Plus, it's so cheap now! And they're shutting down online service at the end of the year, and offline mode is kind of lonely (but still fun).

Taboo is fun. Just played that last weekend.

Apples to apples. Favorite party game. :)

also, I made a horrible life decision last week and am now racing through season 1 of glee at a record pace. Help???? ;)

Ooo, I haven't gotten Strange Journey yet. How's the difficulty on that? I was really loving Devil Survivor until my final day ground to a halt. Literally.

Naming games both to get me back into the swing of things and as ficlet prompts for a fest I'm in - thank you!

You know, I really haven't ever played Earthbound. I should remedy that. Bayonetta and Odin Sphere were both on my to-play list, so I guess I'll fasttrack those. Also, I'm thinking about starting another P4 playthrough. The timing and all. Speaking of which... P4 anime? Awesome/awesome?

[identity profile] rinnia.livejournal.com 2011-05-21 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm, perhaps I should give it another chance, then...

How's California treating you?

[identity profile] rinnia.livejournal.com 2011-05-21 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh god, I wish I knew how to help you. Then I'd be able to help myself. All I can do is hope you emerge with the same ships as me so we can share fic recs and I can send you fics I'm working on but have lost motivation for.

It treats me well. Summer break is here, which means I will only work 4 hours a day instead of the 10+ hours I was doing before with schoolwork. Working on my Peace Corps stuffs as well. Gotta get that stuff turned in quickly so they can figure out where I'm going. How's it going on your end?

Strange Journey is... well, pretty similar in terms of difficulty to Digital Devil Saga, if that makes any sense. Or like Persona 3 without the social sim element. Lots and lots of dungeon crawling. You have to strategize with demon combos and such but if you've played any other Megaten game it's pretty easy going (although I have to say I'm currently stuck because the fourth dungeon master is kicking my ass).

What can I say, I really love fusing a million zillion demons. It's like Pokemon for mythology geeks! :D

Hmmm, Digital Devil Saga level I can do. Just so long as we're not talking Demi-Fiend in DDS level difficulty. :p I had absolutely no issues with P3 or P4, but Devil Survivor for some reason just destroyed me. I was able to grind along for most of it, but the last few bosses I got through were super painful, and the last day... I still haven't finished it. Sigh.

So hey, Strange Journey sounds tasty to me! Thanks for the rec!

Sounds pretty great. Peace Corps - that seems very Adam. :) Where are you hoping to go?

Eh, same old, same old. If you happen to know any surefire lottery numbers, throw 'em my way, yeah? At least we have awesome dogs - seriously, you gotta make your way to this coast to meet Opal sometime. She will lick your face off.
