Listening to Sacrifice. On the verge of tears again.

I've been rewatching Buffy with Jaime - his first time through the series - and we just finished The Gift. And god, it still makes me cry. I've watched it dozens of times (because even though it guts me, I adore it), and without fail, I cry. Every. Time.

Anyone else have something like that? Some episode or movie or song that can always manage to rip your heart out, even though you know exactly what you're in for?

I think my record holder is Romeo+Juliet, which I was obsessed with during middle school. I watched it 29 times before I made it through the end without crying. Seriously; I counted.

Oh my gosh, Buffy <333 I've watched the season all the way through SO many times - I used to watch an episode before bed and one in the morning before school from 5th grade to maybe 11th, and I own all the seasons. To answer your question, I have two things that rip my heart out so so much when I see them. One is the episode when Spike burns up in S7, and it will always sting because I never watched Angel to see that he comes back so it's like he's really gone. ;____; The song that breaks my heart is a new addition to my "oh my god I'm crying enough to fill an ocean" category and it's Someone Like You by Adele. Oh man, the tears I shed no matter how many times I listen. It comes on the radio? Tearing up. It comes up on shuffle while I'm writing Puck/Kurt porny things? Close word doc and cry. It's ridiculous.

the last episode of neon genesis evangelion - you know the scene i mean. even the two songs that play during that scene make me cry when i listen to them. it's such a beautiful payoff to the pain and struggle you've been through with shinji, and i so wish i could get to that point and realize the things he does, and it just... ARGH. it destroys me every single time.
