Writer's Block: Bitter aftertaste

[Error: unknown template qotd]
Thankfully, no. Music is kind of a drug in my world - it means a hell of a lot to me - but I'm always willing to live and let live.

I used to think the only exception would be dating someone who had vastly different tastes from me, and that's still true to some extent, but. Well. The reason I said "thankfully" at the beginning there is because shortly after I met Jaime, I asked him who his favorite band was. I thought to myself, "So long as it's not Smashing Pumpkins or Dave Matthews Band, we're good." Yes, I had a total hate-on for SP back then. Forgive me. Anyway, his answer was, of course, "I have pretty much everything ever made by the Smashing Pumpkins," and after a thoughtful pause, he added, "I really like Dave Matthews Band, too."

Good thing I overlooked that one. And hey, our genres agree (with a fair amount of band overlap, even), so it all worked out in the end.

In other news, I finally let a bit of my crazy slip out in lab today. I'd been doing so good at playing normal and respectable, too!

B: *after the third setback to a simple experiment* This experiment just doesn't want to be done.
Me: We've got the AntiChrist cell in there. The universe is trying to protect us.

At least he laughed it off. For my part, I was glad he was looking at the microscope, because my eyes went wide with horror. Damnit, Alex! Professionalism! Learn it!

Save the nutball for home. And livejournal.
