What do you call yourself if you would be a "gleek" but you really, really hate 50% of the show?
The Glee kick continues. Anyone on my flist into this? I'm desperately alone on this one amongst my friends, it seems. Hm. Anyway, I don't really feel like counting more cells or writing more Matlab code at the moment, so instead I came up with my top ten favorite performances from season one of Glee. Plus two bonus videos. Here we go!
10) Maybe This Time from 1x05 - I'm not sure why this number pings me so hard, but it really does. I considered giving this spot to "Alone" from the same episode. It boiled down to performance I like of a song I love vs. performance I love of a song I like. I opted for the latter.
09) U Can't Touch This from 1x17 - Best. Characters. Ever.
08) Gives You Hell from 1x14 - I'm not a Rachel fan by any stretch of the imagination (which confuses my family to no end, and in turn, their confusion confuses me), but she does have a hell of a voice. The inclusion of the rest of the club makes it.
07) Hate On Me from 1x07 - Mercedes gets to solo, Mike gets to dance, and Kurt gets to be adorable. Awesome. (Note: This was seriously the only video of this number I could find. I know there's Russian over top of the dialogue, but the song is just subbed, not dubbed, so it shouldn't mar the viewing experience too much, I hope.)
06) It's My Life/Confessions Part II from 1x06 - Finn is much cooler when he's on drugs. Yay, bad aesop! Also, everyone should check out this version of the mash-up as well. I may or may not have a biological relation to one of the performers in it.
05) 4 Minutes from 1x15 - Vogue was awesome and all, but this. THIS. Normally I adore Kurt in a strictly platonic (and fashionable) manner, but this... I should not be finding young gay boys in cheerleader outfits attractive, should I?
04) Don't Stop Believin' from so many episodes - I like the finale version best (Puck and Santana make everything bitchin'), but this one from the premiere is no slouch either.

03) Rose's Turn from 1x18 - Just. Damn. What can I say? Kid has a voice and some seriously good acting skills and taste in music.
02) Somebody to Love from 1x05 - Everyone loves Don't Stop Believin' the best, but I truly think this was their greatest ensemble number.
01) Bad Romance from 1x20 - Too much win. I can't even handle it. Ugh.
