Queen is a good thing, right?

So Glee last night gave me an idea.

It's my head canon that Puck and Kurt are kind of moderately friends now. I mean, Barbra Streisand, right? It's also my head canon that there's no way numerous students wrote in Kurt for Prom Queen in large enough numbers to make it happen, especially not when the majority of the crowd applauded him so quickly and easily after he owned that crown. I'm thinking someone stuffed the ballot box.

What if, in a misguided attempt to make Kurt happy, it was Puck?

In his head, he's thinking, gay dudes call themselves queens all the time, right? It's totally like calling a stud "badass". He was trying to do a good thing for his friend, possibly a bad thing for his friend's tormentor, if we want to believe that he rigged it for Karofsky as well, and, at the same time, prevent him and Lauren from winning. Of course, he'd realize afterwards that he fucked up, leading to other awkward attempts to make Kurt happy as penance or something like that. I dunno. I'm going with this idea until next week's episode inevitably josses it.

Also, I need some Sam/Mercedes in my life. I am 100% on board with that ship.

So here's the thing: I have been trying to work on your charity fic, but it's just not going that well. (I was working on the one where Lauren fixes up Puck and Kurt.) If you'd rather, I would be happy to write you this one instead. But it's up to you; no pressure whatsoever.

Sam/Mercedes! I snuck a little of them into one of my big bangs and now they're practically canon. Not that I've watched the episode yet, but I spoiled myself pretty hard.

Ooo, if you'd prefer to do that one, go for it! I'd love to see your take on it. And I so would not object to some background Sam/Mercedes with a side of Kurt/Mercedes/Sam friendship, either.

Yay! I'm excited about this one :)
