well... i'm back. at least for the moment. i have an indescribably large amount of homework this weekend, but for now... it's friday night. *^_~*

momie's birthday is sunday, so we started celebrating today. i made here a triple-layered silver-white cake with lemon glaze filling and frosting entirely from scratch. *beams* and it was pretty damn good, if i do say so myself. her fav is lemon, so of course, she was quite thrilled. *is pleased with herself*

she and joe picked up chinese food on their way back from work (crab rangoons... yuuum...), then the whole family, plus my brother erik's best bud xi, sat down to finish "lord of the rings". third time i've seen it, and it just gets better every time. sam and frodo are tooooo sweet... i need to reread those books. ;p

when it got to the part where they hug in the boat, my mom smacked me in the head.
mom: *looks at me, then **smack!***
me: itai! what was that for? i didn't even say a word this time!
mom: you were thinking it, naughty girl... *grins*

after that, i went on a nostalgia trip and convinced mom, joe, and hannah to watch "newsies" with me. sweet gods, i love racetrack!

that's about it. oh, hugs to fox, because he needs them, naomi, because she's a sweetie and comments so much, and lop, just because he's himself. *mwah*

*ambles off to bed whistling "once and for all"*

today's been pretty cool so far. listened to a mix of offspring and hoobastank, watched an awfully dubbed japanese movie on mst3k (though it was a mike episode... i miss joel...), made a peanut butter and chocolate mousse-type dessert for momie, then chilled with the family and watched "last of the mohicans" and some monty python.
