*sings* otanjoubi omedeto...
Dec. 14th, 2002 10:37 pmthough his birthday was on the third, my brother erik was sick then, so he didn't have his party until tonight. currently, ten boys between the ages of 8 and 10 are nestled downstairs playing "wwe: shut your mouth" on the ps2. earlier, they played murderer (a suitable choice for such a physical group) and charades (which lapsed into tackling and chants for cake by the end).
the cake was "lord of the rings" themed with chocolate cake and pumpkin pie ice cream. it was surprisingly tasty. and erik let me have the sam and frodo figure from it. *grins*

i spent about 15 minutes talking to chance, one of the boys present. he was, surprisingly enough, really mature. we talked about strange nicknames and the evolution of power rangers from "cool" into "trying too hard". in the end, he informed me that while other kids might think i'm scary, he just thinks i'm interesting. *giggles*
kids are so fun.
