a few matters of interest
Dec. 21st, 2003 01:51 pmand again i find myself posting in list format. ah well.
#1 - last night, i went into the ferret room with a magazine to relax for a while. after playing with the ferrets until they were sleepy, i laid on the ground on my stomach and started reading the magazine. a few minutes later, stitch got up from her bed, slunk down the ramps of her cage and out into the room, climbed up onto me, and curled up in the dip at the base of my back. she stayed there for a good half hour, just napping on my back as i read. made me feel all snuggly, and it kept my back warm. *loves her ferrets*
#2 - if you have seen rotk, you must read this. i laughed, and commiserated, and felt vaguely guilty when i matched up with the rabid frodo/sam shipper lines far too well. *scritches the back of her neck* i just can't help it. that's how i felt when reading the books, too!
#3 - yes,
sandradelete, badgerbadgerbadger.com will melt your mind. it is not nearly as entertaining in its uselessness as zombocom, however. jon once left it on for 18 hours or so, i believe. thank you, steve, for showing us where the unattainable is unknown. heh.
#4 - erik left this morning to go see dad. mom was very good and only cried once, and i was strong and didn't at all for her sake. the lady at the gate was really nice, and let us know that when she went back in to take a late passenger the flight attendants were fawning all over him and had decided to move him up to first class. the advantages of being a cute, polite 11-year-old boy, i guess. at least he got spoiled enough that he didn't worry too much about the mechanics of flight. silly boy.
#5 - i slept far too much last night. my throat feels kinda spongy, i swear, and dry. it makes me cough. i don't think i'm very sick, but there's definitely something slightly wrong with my respiratory system. maybe the inhaler would help out. perhaps i shall try it. *goes to find advil for her headache and albuterol for her lungs*
