all this recent brouhaha over gay characters in video games. oh no, a straight boy might have to play as a gay boy! lord knows that i, as a female in real life, have never had to play as a male! oh wait...

oh yeah, and the sims thing? i'm straight. am i the only one that makes straight, gay, and lesbian couples? seriously, whoever my sim interacts best with, that's who they go with, male or female. yeesh.

everyone's too uptight. so some people like the same sex, and they want video games to reflect real life relationships a bit more. i don't see why anyone should have a problem with this. if you do, don't play the game. your loss.

i can tell you, though, if i refused to play any game where i'd be a character who is attracted to women, i'd have missed out on many games which turned out to be my favorites.

relax, people. games are for fun. stop taking that away.
