so i'm sitting here, opening the silent hill 3 faq on gamefaqs.com, just in case i get stuck. (curse you, uncle david! bring me my strategy guides!) and right as i get done and am about to turn on the game, what happens?

dogs. outside. there's like four of them just howling and barking continuously. they all started up at once, and then they all stopped at the same time as well.

except for the one that's barking at strange intervals now. softly, almost, when compared to before.

*cries* i dun' wanna play no more! i don't care if it's light out and will be for quite some time, or that i'm in my own home with the doors locked. hello - silent hill 4 has ruined that bit of comfort! *shivers and waits for her nerves to calm*
