rinnia: (essence of tech)
i have a strawberry fields smoothie. mmmmm. i also have a lurking suspicion that i may be getting sick, due to increased sniffles, coughing, and chronic headaches. urgh.

school's going as well as could be expected. i got an 84 on the first thermo set, which is better than what i expected after reading the solutions. here's hoping that's my low score. statics, on the other hand, is still simple as pie. you know, yummy munchin' pi, not alabama-reads-it-as-3 pi. of course, i did have to trade in my statics book to work on this week's set. you see, a book loses much of its usefulness if thirty pages are missing, especially when one-third of your problem set exists solely on those pages. it wasn't even used - i bought it new and still factory-sealed in shrinkwrap! ah well. i have a pretty new one with pages 64-97, so all is well. *nodnod*

physics is still a bitchmo, but eh. at least i'm getting algebra practice. *grins* math, on the other hand, vascillates between being perfectly clear and simple and making no sense whatsoever. goddamn. welcome to caltech.

i must depart now, to write my aph9 prelab. four hours in lab tonight, but hopefully i'll emerge with a functional led made by my very own hands. that'd be shveet.
