Entertain me.
Feb. 9th, 2009 09:40 pmI have short haaaaaair. I love it. It's about chin length on the sides, shorter in back and layered in front, and curly like crazy. Most of all, though? I love how it only takes five seconds to brush instead of five minutes.
New chapter of Gakuen Datenroku came out a couple days ago. Why oh why has Angelic Days been licensed but this hasn't? I'm pretty sure Kaworu is supposed to be creepy here, but mostly I find him fascinating and endearing in a weird way. I don't know. Maybe I'm just messed up. I couldn't even find Evil Kaworu of the main series manga off-putting. Freaky, yes, but ultimately understandable, and thus, not unlovable. To me, at least.
Friendly Hostility and Questionable Content may very well be dead to me. I'm not pleased with the shenanigans happening in either at the moment (though I haven't really enjoyed Questionable Content in... ever? Why do I keep reading it?!). Honeydew Syndrome, on the other hand, is also playing with pairings dangerously, but it's doing so in a compelling rather than an infuriating way. Kudos, HoneySyn.
Kudos also to The Decemberists. The Rake's Song is awesome and fucking disturbing at the same time. Read the lyrics. No, really. Read them. And yet, the song is bouncy, catchy to a fault. I cannot sing this song. I want to sing along, but there is no way I can sing those lyrics under my breath as I walk. It just... it can't happen.
Jaime didn't catch it at first. I started going, "Oh GOD!" and he was very confused. "This is disturbing!" I said.
He just blinked at me. "What?"
Then he got sent that same lyrics link, and he laughed like crazy. I'm still a little shuddery, yet I can't stop listening to it. What the fuck, Decemberists. What. The. Fuck.
