I've gotten a lot of nice things lately - a remembrat, a dragon, craft books, even some dresses - but none can really compare to what I got for Jaime's and my anniversary: a Disneyworld trip INCLUDING the very best meal of my life™. ( Inside: a rundown and a metric fuckton of pictures. I resized them so they're not monstrous, but they are still numerous, so be forewarned. Oh, and there are loads of cute animals in here, too! )

What am I thankful for? A lot of things, including this:

#1: I kinda suck at pattern-making.
#2: I would wear the shit out of alla that.
#3: I WANT THIS SO BAD.

Sliiiiightly tipsy. Like, half a bottle of wine and a double Pina Colada. Not able to understand point spread functions anymore. I may not have understood them completely sober either, but shh about that. I did order a Skymall catalog, though. I'd say that's a win.

I want to write fic, but I fear it will make no sense in the morning. Perhaps this calls for more alcohol? Or more Gobstoppers. Freakin' love Gobstoppers.

Ate some soba, drank some black lager, and watched the Mythbusters' Alaska special. Feeling slightly... homesick? Is it still homesick if it's wanting to visit where you spent more than half of your life thus far but haven't been to in almost ten years? Anyway, whatever that feeling would be. I'm that.

On the plus side, Adam's reaction to the yeti was hilarious and adorable at the same time.

Also, I spent way too much money today. Granted, it was all on awesome stuff and I think the only thing I purchased full price was glow-in-the-dark embroidery floss for a staggering $2.50, but I'm still rocking the guilt. Not buyer's remorse. I don't regret obtaining these objects. I will wear the jeans and play the game and craft with the beads and... cuddle the unicorn pillow pet... I just have this lingering mental block when it comes to spending money on myself. Like I'm not worth it, even though I've done so much therapy to work on that. Damn.

My Amazon purchase happened. Not only that, but it arrived today.



A beautiful, delicious, unbelievably perfect Cintiq. After scribbling the above nonsense, I quickly started in on a ( practice drawing of Kurt ). Gotta practice Puck a bit, and then I think I'll be ready to start on au_bigbang arts. Excited!

Jaime's almost done with a desk for me. We're going to an Antiques Roadshow event at our favorite thrift store tomorrow. I think I have my AU fic idea plotted out. The googly eyes for my Black Mamba scarf arrived. This weekend should be good.

I'm doing my best to make a $900 purchase from Amazon happen within the next two days. Wish me luck?

The fics I claimed at au_bigbang are amazing. They're both quite different from each other and both so very engaging. This'll be a fun one, guys. I have, oh, about a dozen ideas for things to draw. There's just too much goodness to pick from.

Work is phhhhhhhhhhhhhhhbt. Good thing SYTYCD is on tonight, Reefer Madness is downloaded and installed on my PS3, and Catherine comes out in less than two weeks. Yes, I am a consumer whore. Your point?

I'm thisclose to starting a Puckurt AU fic. I do not have the time for this, but... but...

Off to finish my beer and a presentation for tomorrow. In that order.

Sweet Uncertainty
4 oz. French Vanilla Kahlua
4 oz. vodka (Stoli preferred)
4 oz. milk
5 scoops vanilla ice cream
8 ice cubes
Blend it up until smooth, pour into two Pilsners for class, and share the bliss with your bff. Optional: Serve with giant pan of nachos and rainbow sprinkle sugar cookies.

Now to enjoy Simpsons and way-better-than-last-season American Idol. Oh, and Jaime got me potted tulips the other day! And they're blooming! If only work/school was as awesome as my home life.
